More adventures!

I have the best life!  I get to meet lots of really nice people and they all give me hugs and tell me that I am cute. 

Last week I went to see my wonderful vet and she said that I am very healthy and gaining weight - can you believe I am now 6.6 pounds - I was only 4.2 pounds a month ago.  Anne and David say I am huge compared to a month ago.  I am glad to hear that I am growing because I thought their furniture was shrinking.  I used to be able to run under the bookcase no problem but now I have to duck my head.  Speaking of the bookcase, I found a fun book about a shopaholic so I got stuck into it.  I only got as far as the back cover when Anne said I had done enough reading for one day, I guess she didn't want me to get tired out.

On Saturday Anne and I went on a really big adventure.  We went for a car trip on our own.  This was our first time in the car without David and Anne was sitting in David's seat.  I had to stay in the back seat which I wasn't too happy about but I could see Anne and she kept talking to me so I was fine.  We went to see Anne's friend Kym and my new friends Georgia and Bisou.  Georgia is wonderful, she gave me lots of hugs and played with me.  Bisou is a lovely girl dog, she is a Jack Russell Terrier and was rescued by Georgia and her family.  Bisou played with me and then Georgia and Bisou and Anne and I went for a walk.  It was my first time out in the world on a leash.  I looked really cute - my harness and leash are bright blue.  Here is a picture of Georgia and me and another one of Bisou and me with Georgia and Kym.

After all that excitement I fell asleep as soon as we got into the car and didn't wake up until we got home.

On Sunday, I met my neighbour Joey, he is a big dog, a Dachshund.  Joey is older than me so he is going to show me round the neighbourhood when I get my third shot later this month.  He came over to visit me on Monday and we played for ages.  He is lots of fun.  I will have to ask Anne to take a picture of Joey and me and post it here.

I also had some fun with a small tree that David and Anne had in their living room.  Here is a picture of me after I climbed over into the pot and while I was there I did a little digging as you can see from the colour of my face.  After my digging adventure they moved the tree onto the balcony and put it in a place where I can't reach it.  I am sure when they realize that I can't reach it that they will move it down.

And this picture is just cute so I had to show it to you.

Two weeks

Sorry I haven't updated my blog but I have been so busy learning new things and meeting new people.  It has been so much fun.  I have met a lot of my neighbours and they are really nice.  They gave me hugs and told me I am cute so I really like them.

I have also had lots of visitors, some even came from Buffalo which I hear is far away, they brought me toys and gave me lots of cuddles so I really like them.

I have also learned that I am lots of fun to play with and that I get treats when I am good (which is most of the time).  There are some great places to hang out here too.  Anne has a really old sewing machine and I love to sleep under it.  here is a picture of me looking cute under the sewing machine and another of me with Anne's sandal.  I just borrowed it for a little while then I gave it back.

I also had a bath which I wasnt too keen on but everyone told me I looked really cute after it so I guess I will have to put up with them.  Here are some pictures of me taken after my bath.  After I posed for these picutres I got a treat, so maybe bathtime isn't so bad after all.



All about Eddie

Hello, I am Eddie the Westie and I was born on March 1st, 2011.  From what I hear I am a very cute puppy.  I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters.  We had lots of fun playing together with our Mom, Tammy, she is lovely.  But one day she took us aside one by one and had "the talk" with us.  She told us not to tell the others what she told us as she wanted to tell each of us herself.  What she told us was incredible!  She said that we would have to leave her and go with strangers to live with them and that most likely we would be going alone and would never see our brothers or sisters again.  We didn't like this at all and we were all very sad.

A few days later I was taken into the kitchen and handed to a lady who kept hugging me.  She seemed nice so I gave her a little kiss and she seemed to like that.  Then the man who was with her took me and he hugged me too.  He seemed nice too.  Maybe if these are the strangers then it might not be so bad.  Just as I was getting used to them, I was taken back to my family.  The same thing happend with each of my brothers and sisters that day.  We all said that the people seemed nice but we were still sad to leave Mom.

For a few weeks it looked as if the strangers had changed their minds because we stayed with Mom and played every day and we kept getting bigger.  Life was good.

Then one Sunday, out of the blue, we were all taken into the kitchen again and this time the strangers were back.  The people who had hugged me wanted to hug me again.  They kept saying how happy they were to see me which was nice.

I said goodbye to all my family and friends and went off with the nice people.  We went in a car which was fun, I had never been in one before.  We were in it for ages but they had lots of toys for me and I kept getting lots of hugs so it really wasnt that bad.

When we stopped we went in what they called the elevator, I was glad I was being held, that thing moved up fast.  Finally we got into their apartment and I got to run around.  It was great! 

There were all kinds of toys but even better there were places for me to run under.  I decided not to go too far from these two people, they seemed to know their way around this place so I figured I should stick with them.

After running around and hunting a purple elephant, which I caught, I was exhausted and fell asleep for a little nap.  Here I am with the elephant - Look how big he is and I still caught him!!
